I use watercolor, gouache, and pen and ink to create whimsical landscapes and still life paintings featuring my loveable characters Norman the Hedgehog and his best friend Shark. The purpose of my art is to bring a sense of joy and fun to the viewer, as well as some mischievous humor. Norman is based on a wild Swedish hedgehog that used to pester my mother-in-law by digging in her prized flower bed. Shark is based on my childhood suspicion that a forty-foot great white shark lived in my bathtub after I accidentally watched the movie JAWS.
