I am drawn to watercolor for its simplicity, as well as to the practice it gives me in letting go as I follow its natural flow. I paint people and animals for the stories I see in their faces. I wish to not only capture their external appearance, but also to let the viewer see something of what my subject is feeling or experiencing. I paint birds and flowers for their healing beauty and peace, which they offer to all of us. Being a watercolor artist gives me great joy. My wish for everyone is that they will find their own personal form of joy.
